Getting a new PC

My PC just died on me today so I wanted to get some ideas on what new PC I should buy. I don't want to build one just yet because I'm new to that and i'm in a hurry to get a project done, so I need something ready made. I heard Workstations are the PC's to get for game artists. If anyone has any suggestions i would be grateful. BTW i'm a Freelance Environment Artist.

OK, here's a parts list that I came up with. All of these parts are available at the Microcenter in Chicago at 80 East Ogden Avenue / Westmont, IL 60559. You should ask a salesperson to get a second opinion on this parts list given what you're doing with it and your budget. All the prices in this list are calculated after rebate but before tax, and without the bundle sale price that Microcenter usually gives.

This PC build will be able to both run game engine editors and DCC programs quite well. Bakes and renders shouldn't take much time at all, and the SSD really helps programs that do a lot of caching to disk (most notably Zbrush and Mari.)

Buying the parts at Microcenter saves you time waiting on shipping, and although they may have prebuilt PCs there I doubt you'd be able to find one with the same quality of parts at the same price. It couldn't hurt to ask though.
