ohh yeah i should of added that. honestly at the moment i would love to work on hand painted style that you see in world of warcraft and wild star. creating stuff from props to fully rigged characters. however they don't have exactly what i want but there were a few tutorials that i seen that should give me the skills find…
Are you sure about that Cheese? Do you have any examples? Here is a comparison I did just now with Andrew's gun in all 3. I didn't alter any levels this is all straight out of the box exports. Also I'm not sure if they fixed GGX for Unity standard shader either. Someone made a way to be able to use GGX a while back here…
This is a low poly head I re-did for my Anatomically correct head project, it's just under 1000 polys. Here's the UV layout. Looking back at it now I wish I had taken some polys out from the face and put a few more into the ear. My next project was a group project where we were given certain tasks to create a scene in…
I'm really surprised that Houdini Engine + Unity got so low vote count. You don't like Unity? I'm sure that Unity forums will tell different story, but it's really surprising that only one person is interested in Unity.
Hi thanks for the time! I understand your method. In essence, it breaks up the cube into 6 different hard faces with each face its own UV shell so that they do not effect each other. similar to this video where there are instances when smoothing groups must be used to solve smoothing errors and over coming some…

Hello! I have a Bitmap2Material workflow question. First of all I have to say that I'm very impressed with what it can generate from simple untiled texture photos! This is gonna be a real timesaver in my toolbox, I'm glad I updated to Substance Live! But I have to admit that I find the name of the program quite confusing.…
Our project is looking to hire an additional, full time team member. This is a salaried position with health insurance benefits, open to anyone in the US or Canada. Our project is Architect of Ruin, a sword and sorcery colony survival game. The game is funded and has a publisher, but that relationship is not yet announced.…
the days work: My main goal was to see if I could get a "sharper" image. I just traced an image to get the shape of the mountain as I wanted to focus only on brush work. Initially it ended up looking very blurry and indistinct like yesterday's work. first attempts: I tried quite a few techniques, but it was extremely time…
Yeah that's basically it. Although I would recommend you make individual meshes in Max, but do all the assembly in Unity, including starting the Terrain from nothing. If you've done a bunch of work already, you can import that, then continue editing terrain in Unity. I have some links for creating Unity terrains.…
