Hello All, here is a scene I have been working on for a little while. Some parts are still in grey box form and textures still need a final pass. I'll start posting other shots when more parts of the station get detailed. I plan on finishing up the back wall and stair area tomorrow night. Then over the weekend many signs…
Hey guys. I recently participated in IndieSpeedRun, and after the project I decided to re-use some of the assets that we had created to make a new scene. Just a show-case type thing, really. This is my first scene and I would really like your feed back. As you can see, I am having a lot of fun with Decals right now haha.…
Hey everyone. I am a student in my graduating quarter at the Art Institute - San Diego and I wanted to share some of my work with you all. The scene was modeled in Max/Zbrush and rendered in UDK. I made use of tiled textures and modular wall pieces for most of the architecture as well as tons of decals to remove the…
Hello everyone! I cannot figure out the issue with polygon edges being seen on the low poly after baking. Here's the high poly and low poly models (Blender). These are the seams and sharp edges that I have now: Once the baking is done (Substance Painter) and a simple layer (just a color or a variation with roughness…
don't bother for a second on the LoTR tours. none of the sets are left, and a lot of the big panoramas were digitally pieced together from various places. besides, you won't even be thinking of it; it's a stunningly beautiful and varied country all on its own. though the north island has its charms, spend your time on the…
[ QUOTE ] Bush is an extremist. So what we have is one extremist vs another extremist, only we get a world wide rep for his views. The best thing we could do to not be a target is to stop fucking with people. No one vote us the world wide police, infact we have one, its called NATO and we just left them. So what does that…
Ive added the sand, plants and some particles to the scene. Also fixed the line thickness of the line weight on the trim sheet. I think I'll have to fix the black lines on the egg statues and make them blend in more as well now to match. Gotta figure out the mossy areas and the lights that fill up the ground. Never done…
Hey all! New to sharing on Polycount, been modeling and growing my skillset for around 6 years since uni graduation, with a lot of life events and breaks in-between. I've been really pushing this year to massively up my game and push for my goals of being an environment artist in the games industry. Below are some shots…
nice work so far ae - seems like competent modeling and topology - looks a bit bland at the moment - but you've yet to add the engine details/decals/busted and asymmetrical stuff, so i assume it'll look twice as awesome... oh and a bit heavy on the chromatic abbr - i believe it's only meant to effect the edges of a still…
A jumpoff from the question above. Say you've already been using invisible/linked meshes as hit zones for a structure. But you want different decals to show up on the structure alone through firing an object in kismet or with a custom weapon. Is there a preferred set of tutorials out there that goes over managing physical…
