Most applications limit themselves to only 512 or 1K UV distortions anyhow, so take it for what you will.

quick update on the bobby got all of him on 2 maps now a 1k for the body and a 512 for the head and hat

Yeah, 2048 is totally insane for something like this. 1024 should be your absolute maximum, and a 512 should be fine.

Post some pictures of the issues you are having. That might help. 512-1024 seems really high for lightmaps.

How about just making the texture 512 x 1024? The UVs would probably fit better that way!

it should be 1.2 x 1.2 x 0.3 (meter), I was trying to fit 256 ppm on a 512 texture.

Should I put it lower or higher for the static light level? The walls are at 512 and yes its on production quality.
