Maya to Max while keeping topology
I've got a maya model as .obj which I assume is in quads as the screenshots provided show it that way. When I import the file in max 7, it's in tris (and needing lots of edge turning). Does anyone know of a way to port a model from maya to max while keeping the original topology? Thanks in advance! -
Connect shortcut key Max 9
I want to say that I was able to assign "connect" as a shortcut key in max 6.5 and it work for vertex, edge, and poly mode (Note: it might have been a meshtools function). In Max 9 I can't seam to assign one shortcut for functionality with all three modes. Any ideas? This is driving me nuts. - BoBo -
3ds Max to Mudbox (2013) question
I have a question about the Max to Mudbox workflow. :poly131: I've made a highpoly (using turbosmooth) model in Max and I now want to texture it in Mudbox. Do I unwrap the lowpoly version (the one without the turbosmooth modifier) of the model, or do I create a new lowpoly version? Thanks for your help. -
weird alpha render question.....max
ok...this may sound a little werid. bare with me. say you have two planes.....one on top of the other. the top plane has a material on it that effects the way the texture on the lower plane looks. however...the lower plane has an alpha on it i need in order to select it in pshop. but when i render...the higher plane's… -

As Max 2015 requires a plugin recompile, this will definitely not work as long as the core (max) plugins are not compiled for Max 2015 -
