towels shouldn't be getting that much wider at the end. Unless they are rigid.And cloth isn't stiff like that. Gravity should take over and prevent that much of a wide at the end of towers.
FuturePoly does both characters and env courses. But I presume you meant env(you mentioned deco ref and architecture). Pinterest has a ton of awesome stuff.
You could try multiplying by two for even, then subtracting one from that for odd. The end user wont be able to see that it's only even or odd on the slider, but the end result will be.
I never managed to really fix it, what I ended up doing was exporting the mesh with the animation in the Alembic format. It kept the animation and texturing and I could use them in marmoset in the end.
