Well, it's hard for me to imagine the circumstance under which it would happen, but the point is mostly you never know. Perhaps you miss a deadline. Missing the deadline causes the client to miss a pitch meeting or something, and in turn they seek a suit against you for breach of contract, including damages for the missed…
Poopipe, the hl2 image is not an impossible pose. Look closely, she is touching her hair. I think the pivot is just placed too far back and that's why the overlap is that bad. If you curl your forearm back as if curling a barbell, it should go back pretty far to the point where you can even use the hand to touch your own…
Hi All 3 weeks ago I had my car wing mirror kicked off by some young vandals. This week it happend again, and thay also did my girlfriends car causing almost £300 worth of damage and I expect it to happen again soon. Problem is we dont have a drive and have to park our cars at the side of the road and we can only see the…
Yeah same, @Benjammin . I started to learn NURBS about 20 years ago and gave up because I was never able to successfully create a decent looking NURBS head, just a nasty looking monkey thing from a 3D Studio Max tutorial. NURBS were kinda hyped up back then and now there's barely a tutorial online on the subject. Even back…
I was wondering if there was a way to import ase files into max. I found a way. I using the asc II importer found at http://www.maxplugins.de and that seems to work fine. I have to change the file ext from asc to ase for it to work. Is there a better way to do this? Alex
very nice progress so far, really like where this is going. i don't have much time so just a quick thing. the angle of the ear looks off, usually a good pointer for the is the jawline, in your case either the jawline should be matched more to the ears orientation or the other way around, you case i'd say samething…
Hello everyone, this is my first post in this community. In this series of posts, I am hoping to document a personal
project entitled "Gallerie Nocturne". The idea was floating in my mind for many years, I am glad to
finally have the time and energy to start this project. To begin, here is the concept art of the exterior…
I'm a high poly guy for the most part and not used to getting my objects into an external 3d engine. I have licenses to Zbrush and shadermap 2(its like crazybump only cheaper). Is there a way within the engine to make curved walls? If not whats the quickest way to do it? I'm not trying to spend a ton of time of them and…
Hey! Great step to start posting online. It's a really good habit to have since you'll learn to communicate about your work, making nice screenshots (even the WIP ones!) and getting feedback :+1: This is a great start so far! Right now it could really help to flesh out your meshes and blockout so you can see how the scene…
I'm shooting for UK 2007/Gears of War type specs (bet you've never heard that before <cough>. I've read that Gears of War characters are about 10k triangles and 2048 texture maps. I'm not sure if that's true though. Anyway, this is the low poly model, it's a bit under 9,200 triangles, still a bit of optimization to do.…
