Hi @EarthQuake. I completely understand and agree with the points both you and @Neox are saying but you made a good point explaining the "shrinkage" that happens when subdividing a mesh, the low poly ends up being slightly larger, etc. I understand that if we want to make the edges of the model rounder we can do that in…
Your environment artists (not to mention programmers, designers, writers, etc etc.) are an inspiration. I'd love to apply, what are your policies on hiring from overseas? (Australian here)
If it goes well no one should have to re-enter any current information, and the join dates, post count, message inboxes, etc. etc. should remain the same.
The least the artist wasn't a commercial artist. Rich people buy whatever they want, cars, planes, boats, rare imported flooring, fossils, historical artifacts, etc etc.
The icons are going to be that size, when you zoom in, to actually purchase a car, etc. when represented in inventory, etc. they will be smaller. So, what you are looking at are ingame sizes.
*sigh* people should check true good lowpoly work ( kenneth scott, Horribledeath , B1ll , etc etc ) , i havent seen a decent one in aaaages in this thread :(
[ QUOTE ] It's crazy to think what next-gen will be, the polycounts will be bumped up, the physics will be more insane, real time sub surface scattering, etc etc [/ QUOTE ] fixed
