i'm not going to dump all of my unfinished projects here, but i could post some that i'll never finish :P. http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/7130/neverfinisheg5.jpg this was a quick fairydragon doodle :P http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/1071/neverfinishrc2.jpg this was supposed to become a mystic based on "the dark…
That technique is called careful construction. Or planning your edges beforehand if the model warrants it. Sometimes, it's just digging into the the mesh with cut and delete edge tools, and good old move until it's clean enough. Most times, it's laying down the edge flow in the very early stages of the model and respecting…
At what versions of Photoshop is the nDO Painter Mode available? It's a mode I am drooling over and I have a feeling I'll have to upgrade my version of Photoshop to warrant the feature. I'm currently using v11.02 and it's gotten me this far. CS4 is where I stand at the moment. I don't have access to Multi-Normals either…
SO I really liked the immortal from starcraft 2. Definetly my favorite unit, with all the pizzazz of a dragoon. and none of the funky patting. I was looking at my old portfolio, and realized I hadnt updated it in a year. Here are my goals with this particular piece Completed in 50 hours. 30k Modeled in Zbrush Textured in…
This is some environment work I did on the Blizzard World map for Overwatch. I was mainly working on the Starcraft area, from the initial block out to the final product. Gaëtan Montaudouin created the Siegetank as well as finalized the Ghost Academy and the Crystal for the Pylon. More images can be found on my artstation.…
"yer munee er yer life!" This is the base model for a modular enemy NPC. Medieval peasant/bandit. A little more work to do on the hands and touching up. I made some small wrinkles, but the character doesn't warrant that much detail and so I'm not going to go any deeper than this as far as that goes.
Hm, what kind of settings do you use, @EdHanley? I can't imagine waiting even 15 minutes for an AO bake, personally, let alone 4 hours. Doubt my computer could handle it either. Is the quality difference your settings give you that noticeable to warrant such a long bake time?
I never really felt like Photoshop crashed enough for it to warrant something like this. I would thing this could get kind of annoying when working on very large PSD files, and then having it save randomly when you're in the middle of something. I don't think it's an issue like max that crashes 5x a day. I'm sure this…
I dunno if its application on a sand-village's local population would warrant those price tags, but I sure know an ex-american president or two who deserved the honour of that :P For that sort of job, I suppose its good. Still a sinful waste of money. Also its a really boring looking gun. No one is gonna want to model that…
To be honest Hawken, for my shorter tutorials I prefer the jpegs. I don't think there is enough info that needs covering to warrant a full blown html. I reserve that for the more in depth subjects, because it takes so much longer. I do the jpegs when I expect it to be a quick reference type thing. People can same them to…
