You're using too short of strokes to paint. It makes your textures look a bit jerky. Try to use more confident strokes. Try maybe painting a concept of a weapon like the video has. 1. double click the layer called background to turn it into an editable layer 2. sounds like you're either using a tablet and the pressure sensitivity / the opacity is set too low or perhaps you have the hardness of the brush set to soft. Dhin although the Color tablet ver is "ok" I prefer your hand sketched ver much better she has a more rustic look and you get that actual "circa" of the time that Red Riding hood would have in her early yrs of being a woman.
