So recently I've been watching a lot of PigArt's time-lapses on his hand painted weapons, as well as a few others, and it inspired me to want to do some of my own work.
Whilst this isn't hand painted yet (as I need to learn and practise how to hand paint objects and I need a working graphics tablet) I wanted to show my current models and progress in a thread.
Here is my first model: (302 polys, 190 tris)
At the moment, I feel like I quite like how the materials look and I might go for a minimalistic look on the weapons.

Between posts I've managed to lower the polycount slightly and the new count can be seen in the top left of this screenshot. Both images are just screenshots of 3Ds Max's viewport.
The new polyount of the weapon is 224 polys and 402 tris.
