Looking good. If you want a more realistic look I suggest scaling down all the bolts and nuts and details. At the moment those bolts are probably over an inch in diameter. When using the miniatures as reference don't forget that all the details are exaggerated and chunkified so they're visible on the 28mm miniatures.
DKP Miniatures is looking for a concept artist to design the characters of the game. these will be made into printable 3D models. The game is sci-fi and includes human-alien-mutations, cybernetics, and a mix thereof. Revenue sharing from the game is available. This will first go to Kickstarter and then be sold on 3D…
Few miniatures I made for Clockwork Armada a miniature war game. These were rendered using Blender's Cycles. After modeling them in zBrush I simply decimated them, brought them into Blender, touched up a few things such as size. Then sent them to be 3d printed and cast. I will try and get some pictures of the first prints…

For the time being, I'll mostly be posting stuff from my self-imposed 3D-printable tabletop miniature challenge here. Hoping to get a nice big body of finished sculpts done, and printable miniatures are easy enough to do in a day of work or in between something else. Crits most certainly welcome. Day 1: a small gun-drone…
Just found out a very obvious but handy way to emulate Silo's topology brush in max. I know it sounds REALLY obvious but it helps a ton if you protoype your models (either tech or organic) in Z2 or scan them in and then want to get a cleaner topology for displacement, render to texture or anything of this kind. It has made…
I had to fix some issues and optimized the UV layout a bit. Also decided to add a floor, since that is quite common on miniatures. I got a nice floor form the megascans library for that and adjusted it a bit to match the style in blender. I also watched some videos on painting board game miniatures. I'm curious how well I…
Ack! I did not see this until now. I need to pay better attention. The 3D model from the game is heavily based on the awesome GW miniature (which in the case of a Giant, isn't that miniature). Here is some awesome form reference. http://www.coolminiornot.com/189487 http://www.coolminiornot.com/187782…
