Wow JO420! That's awesome cutting down for sure. It's good that you realize it takes time and it's not an overnight process. It seems like people tend to fail less when they have realistic expectations. My old roommate is 6'4" and 205lbs. He's going pro MMA though so he's in crazy shape. Good to know on the dryer Vig. I…
Andreas, regardless of the fact that computing will be dazzlingly different from how it is now in 20 years (which is a given) we can make some pretty sound predictions of what it will NOT be. Cloud computing is practical, and it will not result in a net loss of jobs, I don't think -- all of those server still need parts,…
I'm about to start digging into building my first modular environment and was curious where it was best to put the piviot point in relation to the depth of the wall. Do people tend to build ontop of the center line with geo in front and behind (A), Behind that center line on the grid (B), or infront as seen in (C) I've…
Congrats on finishing. Doesnt look like Reynolds tho. I'm no expert at likenesses but one way to get a better result is to use an app like zbrush and make it transparent. Get a film of the subject and place it under the sculpt app. Make the app semi transparent and then sculpt using many different angles as reference.

Hi, i started this week a new character. Once the hires will be finish, i'd like to try to make an In-game version. Ok here is the first step, block out the character before import in zbrush. I'm trying to find some great proportion here is the initial quick sketch.
Hey guys, I've been working on a collection of materials specific to Paris and I would love to get your feedback on it. The purpose of this collection is to improve my Substance Designer knowledge and my overall texturing skills, as this was one of my weak points and materials are essential to a realistic environment. I've…
I have a scene with a car, raytraced shadow casting MR Sun and Skylight in 3dsmax. I have a plane to catch the shadow and all renders fine when doing a complete render. I need the shadow of the car on its own preferably on the plane but with an alpha. Basically i'm going to comp the shadows onto a 360 rotation of the car…
I'm really nervous about posting my own thread here because you guys are so good, but I know I can improve alot with the feedback. I'm a senior at university and these are the wip high polys of my characters for my capstone game "Mori." "Mori" is a game about a boy who is lost in a nightmare world. He meets creatures on…
