great work so far! :) I just thought I'd share with you some stuff I learned... Design - I think you can push your design more if you'll mix more recognizable concepts. Since you're going for a humanoid character, maybe you can mix in some animal influence or mythical creatures, anything that the audience can easily relate…
Hey Phil :) looks like a good start. I think you are working at too higher subdivisions at the moment. Cloth is a lot easier to refine when you are squeezing every last drop from your subdivisions. Same can be said about the head. Just means you are concentrating on your major forms and by lacking the res to make any…
Hi aryarie, Thanks for your reply! I totally feel you! :-) All I can tell you is that when you reach 38 you will wish you had started when you were "only" 28. :-D I wish you best of luck with fulfilling your dreams!
I mean i wish to learn how to model in quads. I know it might be a bit nit picking and there is clearly no shading issue so just leave it.. But i wish to learn the quad way that when i do need to know how to use quads in a similar situation, i know how to tackle it.
Update : correction of the first maniphalanx for better fist closure (I realized that the first fist rig'pose version was terrible), thumbs correction and some minor others fixes (not totally done) : Playing around with rigging to check deformations, getting almost 'ok2anim' I guess :

I am currently having extreme difficulties delivering assets without scale or rotation to Unity, and this problem is costing me days and many years due to worrying! I am bringing a step file from Inventor into Pixyz studio, then an FBX into Autodesk 3ds Max and…
Hi, all. I'm a recent graduate student, but my portfolio is quite lacking at the moment, to say the least. I hate pretty much every 3D project I've ever done in school, except for this character that I started at the end of my second to last term. The rest range from run-of-the-mill amateur crap to topological eyesores.…
Greetings all! I and a friend have begun working on our very first game, and lately we've been beginning to make some pretty good headway. It's a heavily story-driven rpg, so we've been focusing on building the story itself as well as the characters. The plot is as follows: A paranoid photojournalist receives a mysterious…
Hello, after spending hours on this i decided to come here to ask for help. I have a low poly model that i wish to bake with an Higher Poly one but I get some weird artifacts on the normal map following the topology. It seems to not be linked to the high poly as I tested swapping the high poly to just a subdivided version…
