[ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-feWHV2sN-Y"]Shit Marketing Executives Say - YouTube[/ame] Often heard alongside: * Add more pop * More sizzle * Its not about what I want * Make it more something. Whatever. You figure it out. * Theres an idea in there. Ok, where? Thats your job to figure out. * Just pour some…
I say as a start, dial in your main light fixture's outer FOV and bringing the inner FOV or radius out to give it a slightly harder fall off, as well as bringing up intensity. It will help with spec that the light is hitting, give a harsher look while bringing some darker areas back to the scene, as well as give it less of…
Hey guys, long time no update :) Been working on this scene again recently, and have a few new progress shots to show for feedback and crits before I continue on with the scene. The scene has kindof evolved beyond the original concept a little and I am trying to keep the original mood and atmosphere as well as adding some…
if ure going to GDC to look for a job, be prepared to get your pristine demo reel thrown in the bin at the back of their booth and they'll say "we'll call you if we think your the right fit" Don't bother bringing a laptop, i tried that and it was too time consuming. HR people or art directors want to see the stuff then and…
For the material editor window, its most likely off the screen due to switching from 2 monitors to 1 and then back to 2. To bring a missing window back; 1) Push "M" (or whatever hotkey your material editor is) to bring up material editor 2) Push alt to select the window 3) Push space to bring up the "window-move" menu (you…
Hey I was wondering if anyone had an idea for the best approach to moedeling rope lashings tieing two wooden poles together say for like a bridge? I am using Max 2009 and plan on taking it into Zbrush. I am trying to use splines but they ar ehard to get the shape to adhere to the pole areas I am trying to get to wrap them…

So I just wanted to share some progress with you: "The Mirror" "Ray of reason" "Bridge" "Secret Pass" "Air" "Choice"…
I want to create a 3D Character model based on the displayed concept, the intention is to make it in an Overwatch/Valorant style. Feel free to point out any mistakes aside from the points I mention. The main part I seem to have a problem with are the proportions, even though the current model is more or less in a blocking…
model like you have before, than delete and weld edges. or create that inset sepratly delete the geo where you want to place it, than use bridge to connect it back in. it doesn't matter what the LP looks like when smoothed. why are you doing a LP only, a lot of details in this would be best baked from a high poly.
Switching to Max just for unwrapping might be a bit drastic. I'm a Max user and am very happy with the unwrap tools. I used HeadusUVL for years with a bridge script, but now Max has everything I need so I don't have to. Having said all that I thought Maya received a lot of new UV tools in recent releases?
