Hey everyone, it's been a while since I posted here and figured I would share a few of the materials I have created recently. I would love to know your thoughts on them & what I could do better in the future. The Aged wood was just completed and the other 2 were done semi-recently(2 months or so).
Hi guys, I have been working on sci-fi storage unit picking some tips from a tutorial with Allegorithmic. I have just created a height map for it, what do you think about the shapes, anything you would have changed? Would love to hear some thoughts before I move on to Albedo part. Best, Max
Hello all, I hope everybody is all right. So I've been having problems with my model when I bake it. I tried to change the front and rear distance when baking, remake the model, and different versions of SP and so far I got the same result. That black line doesn't seem to be going away and I don't know what causes it. The…
So I am fairly new to UV unwrapping things but I get the idea behind it and how to do it. But I am running into an issue with a design that is more organic than usual and I am getting odd artifacting on the edge of the UV seams. This hasn't happened with other things that I have made before. I looked into increasing the UV…

It is geared towards people who may have never opened the software, or just used it a few times and want to get working in the package as quick as possible. It doesn't go over the more intricate features (smart materials, importing particles, etc) but it does go over…
@zachagreg should normal come out completely identical?...I did a check with "Rocky And Sandy Ground" material from substance source and there's a small difference. Am I nitpicking? :D Exported with normal channel only turned on Exported with height channel only turned on
Uh yes, the whole idea of Substance is than any graph can actually be reused as a node. Just set inputs and outputs, and then drag that graph into another graph. Batch baking is something else though, you can't really do those things through nodes.
