Marvelous is a good reference, but it's still useful to know how to sculpt folds. Many artists will still tweak simulated cloth afterwards. If you can't afford marvelous, blender had decent cloth sim for free and a few plug ins that make it a little closer to marvelous.
You might need to sculpt in the details on his shoulder/vest thing, if you're going PBR. The puffy upper arms on the sculpt don't quite match the concept, where the concept indicates that the folds between the puffed up areas are overlapping folds that don't affect the shape as much as you've cut into the sculpt, if you go…
Hello there, I'm making a fan creature project for the game Valheim, and I was wondering if you can create a constant light falloff in Marmoset? So you can see the "value steps" of the light falloff, or turning off the linear falloff. I know this is a weird question, but I thought maybe someone here knows the answer : ) I…
Yes, I would recommend custom vertex normals for baking normals to any engine that supports them. Whenever there is geometry in the transition between two flat faces on the lowpoly, like a chamfer or a curved surface, like that chamferbox to the right at 6 minutes in the vid: ( https://youtu.be/_kONIPr_gBM?t=362 ), you can…
250k of debt has to be a US thing - the US system is stupid and should not be used as a measure for anywhere else in the world In the UK it's 9k per year (27k total on a low interest loan payable when you earn over a certain threshold), In some places in Europe it's either free or a couple of k per year because their…
Thank you all for your help, after a while this is what it looks like now: There are quite alot of 5 edge poles at the back and also the oblique area looks a bit weird, but I don't think that it will affect deformation or shading that much or even at all
I'm making blend shapes on one half of a symmetrical model, and when I duplicate and flip it to the other side of the model, the flipped blend shape does not match perfectly; two to three verts on the flipped blend shape aren't being affected. I figured the problem was that the model was ever so slightly asymmetrical, and…
This one is model using for game, cause it gonna be use for some cutscenes and game menu so i have i have to increase its polycount, it will have some LOD models using for gameplay later . The reason i split it into parts cause i think this one is wearing armor so i if want these splitted parts wont be deform by skinning…
Yeah, but that still only half of the story, there could be all kinds of limitations/unexpected cases still ... And furthermore, the fact that fabric has directionality and doesn't rip in random directions could also affect whether or not the effect looks convincing. And so on ...
I would get a good qualiity 1600w PSU - 1300W if I coudnt afford the big one. You'd probably get away with 1000w but for longevity and efficiency you want to be sub 80% usage at full load A 5950x and a 3080 alone can reach 600 watts at times - add some fast disks etc and you're close to the acceptable boundary on a 1kw PSU…
