Yeah, it's not all that different from cars in that respect. You can get something a little older that will work very well most of the time, certainly well enough for a range toy, for 5-800 dollars of most long-arms and rifles that most people are interested in. A decent, basic 1911 will go for 400 dollars or so. But then,…
I've got a bunch of models that come from a CAD program. I need to make them workable, so I can sculpt on them and add more detail. The meshes look like this: Note how they are separate elements. I can weld all the vertices and get one solid element, but the mesh flow is still awful. I don't have a lot of experience with…
Starcards are replacing classes and you can basically create an infinite number of classes by combining cards. Gives the game more variety than locking it down to only four classes imo. There are also more weapons than four in the full game. And you are right, its primarily aimed at star wars fans, not traditional…
Cool stuff- Here are some things that stand out to me: Model -like mentioned before, your chest topology is all over the place. Like in the image above, I would run loops around the deltoids and under the pecs, with vertical loops capping the shoulder and running down the arm. -You could easily cut down your tris by making…
If i create a for example a cylinder and want to change its parameters from channel box by dragging in view with middle mouse or in channel box with left mouse the values are capped really low. For example for cylinder the max radius and height is 100 and all subdivision values are capped to 50. Is there a settings or…
Good lord, this is a nice lookin game. That first level was NUTS. So far, it does skirt the edge of being a massive art show and less of a game, but who cares. Like Uncharted 2, I can see myself playing this over and over just for the showmanship.
so bobby our other cat is hanging on well. Last june, she almost died, but since then she has managed to carry on . Has bad arthritis and diabetes but still here. I doubt she has that much longer and she is nearly 18. Great cat, though has never caught a mouse :) she just looks at them with mild interest
But back on topic, love the direction you’re heading in. I agree you tend to want more moody lighting for a horror game. I would suggest revisiting the night lighting, but taking care to add more fill lights. The purple is too monochromatic, which tends to induce visual boredom very quickly. You could try adding moonlight,…
Thanks @BIGTIMEMASTER yea Im going to try to add some cards to the eyebrow because they feel pretty flat. Maybe a new bake with more resolution allocated to the eyebrow the angles are pretty bad arent they.. Ill see if I can smooth some areas out. I was definitely too stingy with my polycount. Thanks for checking this post…
That's good to see you've been able to identify the problems with the bumper shape. Looks like you've got the right eye for these things. Using a chrome surface is excellent. Locked normals are an art in themselves and how to tackle them can depend on the tools/scripts you are using and the game engine you're going into.…
