A sidelined personal work while working on my main portfolio. Just to recap back from Scott Eaton course and few others on my anatomy study especially on the head. Pasha Harulia was my main model reference. It was not meant for look alike but mostly for head anatomy study. Plus I didn't work on the micro details. Sculpt…
Mass vs Volume I know how the terms are used in physics but in the art world they almost seam like they are synonyms. Anyone here with some traditional sculpting training that has an intuition for what exactly separates the two? I know volume is space, and mass is measurable (in physics).... Anyways, I know its not a very…
Hi guys, I'm about a month into 3D Modeling. I'm hoping to land an internship at a small studio as a generalist. I've been learning 3D Modeling from modeling to texturing, and found mudbox and my fine art background skill really came through. Looking for a critique, but I don't know how to present it right like people do…
So, i have this base mesh which is a midget with 1 arm and leg and the other arm and leg are going to be artificial... So the base mesh has a stumpy arm/leg on one side, resulting in wierd topological axis. The rest of the mesh such as chest, hips and head are symetrical and i need to sculpt details on these, but due to…
Hey guys, I have posted something similar 2 days ago but I didn´t got my Question completely answered, maybe because it was too inaccurately so I decided to try it again. So I saw Fanny Vergne´s work (1.) and was very impressed. I just love this stylized/hand painted style and before I saw her work, I thought the best way…

Hello! I'm korean 3D, 2D amateur artist! My English grammar can be wrong. This character is my friend's personal character: Hoznomiya. I made just for present. It sculpted at ZBrush and BPR rendered. And post-process on photoshop. I want you critique this. Thanks to read post!
Yeah, I can see that, but it's not something you would tell your 11 year old about his first sculpt. I'm trying to be as encouraging as possible to him. I'm trying to get him to doodle as much as possiblee. Later I'll introduce him to hard surfaces and he can sculpt all his favorite gundams.
I made a mini tut showing how I approach integrating micro texture into hard surface props: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/sculpting-micro-texture-tutorial
There's a good video that a silo user made on it's sculpting tools. Not a detailed tutorial or anything, more of an overview of some of the features. http://www.silo3d.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7635 I'm still in the spaz lumpy box sculpting stages with it, but in my limited use it's been really straight forward to use and…
