time to revive this thread from the graveyard! :o after a long and much needed vacation I finally had the time to work on this model again, the lowpoly is now pretty much finished. next the unwrapping (sigh) and texturing (yay) also, what's the best way to bake the normals from a high to lowpoly mesh without making your…
This is for a Steam Punk assignment in my Game Assets class. I found this pretty sweet lookin vehicle and chose to model it while making a few of my own alterations to it. Original design can be found here http://www.crabfu.com/steamtoys/diy_steampunk/ Finished! Finally lol, it's as done as I'm going to get it for now,…
Hi there, Recently i made some rocks for 3 act of Iesabel (actually first act is avaiable on itunes/google play). Soft i used are: Blender (basemesh/lowpoly) Zbrush - sculpt/texturing Meshlab - lowpoly (yes, low poly object are straight from Meshlab - awesome tool for retopo. Yeah i cant wait to try new tool in Zbrush)…
I create a Rock with Zbrush , I retopoly it with 3Ds max. next step , I UVunwrap lowpoly mesh complete . but I dont know how i can use UV (lowpoly mesh ) accept to highpoly mesh . So I want use highpoly mesh make NormalBump + ambient Occlution . Sry English I know it with zbrush . but I don't want use zbrush make it . I…
Hey Polycounters!!! Here is some portfolio work that I have just finished up from a class. Got three props done in this 10 weeks i think its been.... Here are a couple of the final images of the lowpoly textured props I made. If you want to check out more on these with the highpoly, textured sheet, lowpoly wire sheets and…
Hey, you could jam all those 3 texture map into 1 1024 map, and it could still look the same, if you do uv mapping right. Try it. As for baking normal map. 1. Triangulate your lowpoly mesh. 2. make custome cage 3. smoothen edge of the lowpoly. Doing all 3 will most of the time result in far better normal baking.
its the base mesh, and 3.2k polies so its well within reasonable limits. i might cut it down a bit more for the lowpoly mesh, but im not sure if im even allowed to have triangles on the lowpoly even when using normals because it could mess up the lighting. there is no reference for this one, its completely made up. its…
wow, so much progress everyone. Sorry for no updates, but I do use hangout a lot so some of you see it regulary anyway. I`m trying to keep up, I devote this weekend to my Viking girl. here`s highpoly. Some details I`ll add in lowpoly and generate normal map in nDo Lowpoly is 50% done, hope I finish it today.
I ran into a little weird problem in zBrush while starting to sculpt the axe contest weapon. This is the basic lowpoly model before making it a dynamesh: and this is the model after making it a dynamesh. any suggestion why that happens and how i can resolve this? EDIT: nvm, found out myself. i had vertices floating in…
If you want AO from the intersections you'll need to bake it with an unexploded mesh. You can do this with either the highpoly or just the lowpoly alone (I'd recommend baking details from an exploded HP and then intersections from the unexploded LP). XNormal or Knald can help you bake AO from the lowpoly mesh, other…
