I've been trying to learn how to unwrap and how to generate maps in Zbrush to use in DDO and I can't figure out why my ID map isn't applying to the model properly in DDO. In DDO, if I hold down to check my ID map on the mesh itself, everything is messed up. Below is a picture of my ID map along with the UV layout of the…
Hi. So I made a model with Normal map, AO & colour ID map png. Opened DDO, loaded inputs, selected for example the "Weathered" ID PRESET. It loads up all maps (gloss, albedo etc) But no smart materials. I'm using the latest version of Quixel suite. Is it a bug? Cheers M
Winged_wanderer - The IDs will not be separate if "Create Base Layers" is left unchecked in the options when you create a new project. There isn't a warning if you plug an ID in and leave this box unchecked, rather it will just ignore the ID all together!
Hey guys, I’ve
recently been using Zbrush for few days now in order to learn the basics of
sculpting. This way I started creating a sci-fi tank as a training session. But
I recently came across a problem regarding my workflow. Let me describe what I did
first: - High
poly Sculpting of the tank with Zbrush (2.2M Polygons) -…
Alright, so I ended up figuring it out, but I wish there WERE an easier (faster) way. Just like in Susbtance, I wish I could just bake a Color ID map from Material IDs. But, this is how I did it from Maya LT 2016. * Made new materials and changed colors (important because Quixel only gives you hex/color info) * Went to…
I'm working on a model in dDo that is 80% textured and would like to make a few small tweaks to the Color ID Map. Is it possible to edit or add new Color ID's within Photoshop, ie., saving me the time of re-baking in Max? ; ) If so, what's the process? Thanks!
I have a white line where two materials meet and I've tried adjusting the tolerance and hardness of the id masks but no luck because there's a point where if i increase more the tolerance the materials appears on places it shouldn't and hardness doesn't seem to fix it either. So, i'm thinking it's due to antialiasing, is…
Thanks for the answers. At least I know I'm not going crazy. Veezen, I did get some luck with changing that ID file but it was buggy. I also had issues with colour ID layers going under eachother. If I had a red bar on one layer with a green bar crossing over it the properties of the red Id in DDO would bleed into the…
You can have unlimited materials per textureset. Just paint them as you like. They arnt bound to the ID you get from the id map (highres bake). A new id from the highres is not the same as a material (textureset) on the lowres.
Hey there, I'm having a bunch of bugs that have completely prevented me from doing anything productive today: 1. I've done a character with a bunch of different IDs, created all of his materials, and then I realized I'm missing one map ID for another specific material. I edit my map and add a new color then refresh…
