I think one of the issues you render is showing is too small of detail. If you want to do handpainted textures, you should constantly remind yourself "Keep it Chunky!" Keeping your details chunky will help a lot. Make things readable from a distance. You were painting some decent looking cracks and stuff on the bricks but…
