UE3 question here. Basically I have two meshes/maps here. The light with the bulb and the glass. The light has an emissive on it to make the bulb glow but the glass, which has translucent on it is blocking it. Simply put, how do I get the lightbulb to glow through the glass? The other lights in my environment work how I…
Hi guys, Hopefully you guys can help. I am trying to get my weapon into Chivalry, I have been following this guide but have reached 1.6 and can't figure out what he means about saving it. If any of you guys could break it down for me a bit better that'd be awesome! Cheers guys!
Hey guys. First post on the forums. And just to keep up the tradition that newbies tend to do and that is to ask a question on something... But hopefully this isn't as trivial as most :poly121:. I am currently working with a programmer to make a multi player fps in a short amount of time for the Pandora, which to those who…
(I do hope I'm posting in the right place) I am asking for any of your experiences and ideas regarding the problem below. I have been trying to get back to 3D art for a while now. I started a couple years ago by joining a largeanimation project and honing my craft for the next 2 years. The project however failed, I lost…
Couldn't find any information on this. But from there demo video it seems you can polypaint your colormap directly in zBrush. How do I get the swatches into my palette? Thanks
Hey guys, I've used XSI for ... wow a long time now. About 4 years. Anyway. I've decided I want to go to Full Sail for their Game Art degree (finally some official training :D ) and I've learned they use Maya there. So in anticipation, I've started messing around with it. I've heard XSI is pretty similar to Maya, but so…

Just a little update, I think I'm getting a better hang of building up my mesh from lower sub divisions and only dividing when needed. I've about finished up on the arm muscles, i think they need smoothing in to each other a bit more and maybe ill look in to getting some more "texture" to them as they are very very smooth…
how about trusting a monitor that's using some standardized color matching profile? there's a reason why Photoshop is so insistent upon this business of color profiles. That's what you should be looking into, not getting hung up on LCDs vs. CRTs nonsense.
SEGA Genesis Controller and console should be just one piece. Two separate pages = two times the clicks. Also, IMO, the presentation is boring. A black console against a black background makes the entire thing look mono. Why not present the console in its natural habitat? Model the game cartridges, throw in the CRT TV's…
