Zbrush is scale sensitive. like litterary the size of your model effect al lot of stuff, they dont calculate brush sensitivite "localy" or how ever you wanna call it, so increasing the size of your sculpt might help. take a look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cdFQTpxiR0
So my first time doing a tree right out of zbrush using zsketching...finished...now, what's the best way to get it out of zbrush and retopologized down to 6000 polys? UV wise should I let zbrush do it automatically, do it myself within zbrush, or after getting the low poly unwrap in max/maya??? Pic wise, the left is at…
So I've been using Zbrush for a bit now and I usually create my base mesh in zbrush with Dynamesh or zspheres. Lately though I've been enjoying going back and creating low poly characters and I usually just create them in Modo or Maya quickly. My problem comes when I go to bring them in Zbrush. I usually just don't have a…
i am really liking zbrushs ability to detail meshes.. i find it faster than using photoshop and less of a pain in the ass to go back and forth between photoshop and engine or back to max to see if your overlay setting are right.in zbrush you know EXACTLY what the final normal map is going to look like and painting pores…
Anyone know how to have the standard brush push/pull verts away/towards the screen instead of in/out from their normals? I think this was possible, but can't remember for sure...
Hi, all. Here's a problem that's been driving me crazy recently. I've had Zbrush for a while now, and I set up my file associations so that .ztl (ztools) will open in zbrush when I double click them in windows explorer. Basic stuff. Now ZbrushR2 has come out, and I want .ztl's to open in R2. Unfortunately I now have two…
Am I wrong or is ZBrush still the cheapest route for sculpting? Let me explain. To get to a decent resolution to sculpt detail in Blender, Sculptris, or 3D Coat, you really have to have really high end hardware. From my testing, Zbrush just gives you great performance with relatively low specs. I think the difference in…
Hi everybody. Here another props to continue my learning of z-brush. I used the art of Marie Lazar for the concept. Here is the basemesh from 3Ds max And here is where I'm for now. I'm fine with the metal and branch part, i can do another pass on the branch but I'm currently struggling to do the center wood part any advice…
I must have pressed a hotkey on accident because now I can't edit this zTool. Yes I'm in "Edit" mode. Yes my brush is set to "Zadd". I can still step through sub divisions. Although now when I poly frame a subtool its transparent through the rest of the meshes. Is the whole zTool frozen somehow? Thanks in advance.
i'm just trying to edit the mesh with the standard brushes, which do nothing when I have references up, I don't want to be doing any projection painting. I did toggle the paint mode on and off in the lightbox radial dial but didn't didn't resolve the issue. Thanks for the quick response btw, your a zbrush master :)
