Is it slow before it starts loading plugins? And does it freeze your computer for a little bit? If so, it's a licensing bug, I don't think theres a fix for it. It happened to me with Max 2011 - 2014.
In 2011 you have the Marker pixel display to default 20, but in 2016 you have it set to 23. My guess is it's a visual thing as you have the pixels at an odd number. Set it back to the default 20 and see what happens.
I did have the new crycompressorRC.dll. That got the tiff image importing and the environment map creation working again. But didn't help with the fbx conversion. Thanks, ncav! Finally got the LP for this chick sorted. I was getting a bunch of errors smoothing the mesh in Maya-- 2015 has a lot of bugs in that area. Anyone know if those are fixable, or do I just need to always have a copy of 2014 or Max handy to avoid weird softened normals that won't go away and shade incorrectly?…
Sorry about the upside down rendering. I fat fingered something, but I fixed it. Just download and drag and drop the script into the viewport again. It'll update.
