This is a great start! This could use a little personality, you can tell a little story with something as simple as a bouncing ball, and thus engage your viewers (and yourself!). Think of the simplicity of the Pixar logo animation with the light jumping on the ball, the shapes and scene are as simple as it gets, and yet it…

Hi, I'm having a lot of trouble building my lighting in UDK. I have my mesh in my scene, and a point light. I checked 'build bsp', 'build static meshes', and 'generate building LOD textures'. When I build, I get an error message that tells me 'paths need to be rebuilt'. Heelp.
Hey I just started a new environment and I wanted it to be a lot more UE4 intense and I wanted to focus on lighting and layout. I plan to change up the layout and make model updates. I'm using this to learn a lot about lighting, and effects in unreal 4 so any cool info would be greatly appreciated!!!
I can't for the life of me think of what game has this. You know the long exposure in a racing game effect where the light sources streak like the tail lights of the bikes in Akira.
So, I've been trying a lot of things, but whenever I try to bake a clean lighting map with scanline renderer, I get always these strange light streaks. Is there a way to get rid of them?
I am working on a lighting study and try to re-Light this beautiful scene of a Sci-Fi Bunk created by Liam Tart. Here is the Original scene of Liam Tart. Any feedback would be appreciated Thx :)
Hey guys, I've been rattling my head around this all day. I'm in Unreal 4 and I've been trying to use post-process effects and light functions to create a light painting effect on highlights. I'm a student and realise I'm pretty inept at this but I'm really interested and trying to learn. So far I've done the easy bit,…
All my meshes have good 2nd UVs for Light Map info, or in some cases the unwrap was unique enough to only need the first. The problem I am having is.. what I can only call Shadow LOD. I have my Light Map Res turned up high on some larger objects, but this setting is not my problem it would seem, by scientific method. It…
Hi all, I've been trying to load a texture into the Projector setting under Light entities... with no luck, no matter what texture I set, it just doesn't change it, it's always the same light focus... Like this: Thanks in advance
