I can't for the life of me think of what game has this. You know the long exposure in a racing game effect where the light sources streak like the tail lights of the bikes in Akira.
You'll probably want to look for infrared and/or night vision video. You generally don't get those kinds of streaks in motion unless you have a CCD that gets a lot of light bleeding or burn-in.
Ridge Racer R4 had a very beautiful version of this - not only trailing behind but also "shifting" depending on the relative speed of the other car compared to yours. Gorgeous when passing an opponent car and during the replays.
I think it's pretty much a simple vertex shader and lots of games have it. Effect is kind of subtle for youtube videos to capture (unless they are dedicated to that effect)
Easiest thing I can think of is installing Team Fortress and shooting bunch of grenades with demoman
Sandro, Im not sure this is what Malcom is looking for - these grenades look more like a glowing trail (think "energy glow") as opposed to a light trail ...
