I'll have to thoroughly check out that plugin. Thanks! The effect I'm going for is what you can do at the shader level in any game engine in one line as well as in Substance Designer's pixel processor which functions just like shader code. Essentially, the max equivalent of "tex2D(MyTexture, uvs)" where you can custom…
Hello Polycount! I am having a rendering issue with 3DS Max 2017 and Mental Ray. I have an animation that is 88 frames long and on frame 47 for whatever reason the shadows, reflections and spherical environment map break (Do not render) only on this specific frame. - I have 5 light sources, ( 2 spot lights and 3 point…
Not only all of that, but your result to the right does not feature all of the warbly wobbly results that you always get with AI. Even if I ignore all the added detail of your effort, and iftrue:is4realtimerendering; It's effort is 4x as memorically (oh yeah) costly as yours, costs more to render, meaning the end-user has…

I switch between the mouse and a Wacom tablet whenever I'm doing 3d. If I'm sculpting in Zbrush then of course I'll be using the tablet 100% of the time. But when I'm in 3ds Max I often use the tablet but will sometimes switch back to the mouse if I need to do precise clicking. Same when I'm in Topogun retopologizing.

I'm a novice, I was a hobbyist modeler and did some animations in 3ds max using CAT and now I'm trying to figure out what should I do in regards to rigging. At this point, I'm looking to just animate as much as possible and…
