Hi, is it recommended to model a stone wall game asset using these many rocks objects such as the model in the link below? https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-model-stonewall-corner/864621 The poly count may be a problem but adding a LOD will make it usable in a game? I am curious to what is the right or best method to…
Hey guys, I've been working on this "summoners stone" project for a while now and I'm looking for a way to make it a little more visually interesting. I would love any suggestions that might make this more visually striking. Also, I'm trying to get alphas to work in Marmoset 2 and I can't quite figure it out. I've tried…
I came across this while looking for a position/rotation noise modifier or script. To put it simply... its pretty much a 'WIN' button... http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/stone-placement-tools Sorry if this has being posted before, I did a quick search but felt even if it hadn't this deserves a full page post! Just…
I'd reduce the contrast of the cracks. Cracks in stone are usually thinner and shallower than the gaps between the stones, so they should appear lighter.
Update: I managed to finish making the low-poly, UV maps, and material for the stones and trim. I realized I have to create a corner variation. Any tips on that? The ceiling looks weird. The tile material looks good on it but the wood panel material doesn't make sense for this. I think it would make more sense if it had…
Hello guys! I have modelled a stone floor. And now i want, that it breaks from left to the right in my animation. Do you know, how i can do it? Im working with 3dsmax
Jokes on you, I'm doing evil, MWAHAHAHA! :poly142: That being said, big improvement so far! Though the noise is a bit too uniformly applied, in that it looks like the exact same noise texture for every stone without much variation across the stones themselves ala
I don't post in this section as often as I would like. But here is an environment I've been working on. I have really gotten into hand painted textures the past couple of years but I've mostly been doing quick props instead of full scenes. So I wrote down a list of about 5-6 environments I would love to make in a hand…
I recently started using Zbrush after realizing how powerful of a program it is, here is one of my first projects in Zbrush, just a set of stone tiles I made using the Orb Brush pack.
