I would try the cartoon edges effects, there are plenty of tutorials on that, just make the lines bright color instead. Then i would use a PP for the sceen tinting and mask it off by scene depth. Might give it a try tomorrow.
Hey @Araka this is a great start. As Eric pointed out composition would be a great start for you. 1. Have a clear understanding of where your focal point is. And then expect to guide people towards it. 2. A good general rule of thumb is "the rule of thirds" - it means that your focal point should fall on a third of the…
I've been replaying Breath of the wild and Dark Souls, so it inspired me to work on a scene of ruins for a new project, I want to eventually merge it with a forest scene I worked on last year, so it'll be more stylized then realistic looking. I think the project will give me a chance to work more on making variations on…
I am currently in the last year of my games design course and currently working on my Final Year Project. For this i have decided to texture assets acquired off the internet. I will then compile these in 'UDK'. After that i will need create a lighting system with a 'Film Noir' style. The final product that is required is…
I started working on this project a short while ago now, but after a short holiday, now making some real progress so I wanted to set up a thread to show my progress, share some of my workflow and get some feedback along the way. I was recently watching this film, and when a certain scene came up I knew this is what I…
I'm having a problem where Blender won't render a changed scene (still pic). It just keeps rendering this persistent previous scene and I don't know if it's stored somewhere. Searching says it might have to do with Post Processing -> Compositing/Sequencer or Final Render -> Persistent Data. I've tried unchecking those…

Im want to start making a scene and im wondering if anyone has any good ideas about what scene would be cool to make. also does anyone know where people find those awesome concepts around here? most people creating a scene usually follow a concept made by someone (assuming its a fictional scene) and some of those concepts…
Hey, I'm working on a scene with a TSI Engine placed on a black glossy floor. The floor is pulsing green light upon the engine, making the engine look clean. Clean as in enviromently clean. I would love some feedback on my scene, does the green light look clean, or more like toxic waste. What's your opinion on the…
Thank you, Brendan for your detailed (if a little cutting) critique. With regards to colouring of the scene, I'm having a hard time balancing realism with looking visually appealing. On the one extreme, the scene's colours look exactly like real-life, deep below the surface of water and hella blue. There is little…
