When I tried to remove the last frame of my run animation to have something that loops perfectly, that's when I noticed some hicup in my cycle. Do go for the I7 3770, its a very good price vs performance CPU in the Intel line. You can pay less and get less, or pay more get less value. I don't really see the benefit of reducing a 500 triangle car to 270 tris. I feel like you are letting yourself get caught up in extremely tight technical details and making things difficult for yourself for no reason. Making a cool 500 triangle car? Cool! i5 2500k Is a pretty good intel cpu to get for price/performance. With 3D work its normally always best to go with Nvidia cards, I'm getting a 560 Ti soon.
