Yep, a "test" render, I was in a hurry so i just slaped there some moreless random materials haha.
I will go for wood on stock and handle.
Hey guys, so I wanted to do more work on metal, but unfortunatelly I lost my psds when my PC crashed right while saving them but I am quite happy about how the wood turned out Hope you like it!
Very nice texture work
The only thing standing out negatively is the very obviously baked indents at the rubber end of the stock , looks like the normals are trying too hard getting this too deep highpoly shape right, giving the strong shadows shading at every angle ,
It would shade better/ more correctly if the angles of the indent on the highpoly wouldnt be 90° so the rays have more areas to work with
Thank you guys for all your comments
Gazu: nope, standard photoshop work
Shrike: totally agree, if I ever touch the shotgun again, I will mostly likely redo the rubber part with real mesh in there

For science.
The metal has a bit of an odd feel to it. If you're going for blued steel, it'd probably be a lot darker and not really get such a blown-out specular.
The shape looks spot-on though. Really nice job.
