i REALLY like zbrush3...so much faster. however i'm having some troubs bringing my sculpts into max. has anyone experienced any probs? the settings are the same as w/zbrush2. but i can't even bring in a model that is 500,000.

when i insert my mesh brush i am unable to press shift and snap it to the orientation of the world. it seems that it it is being generated from the surface normal event though its created when i am looking at it from the direction i want it generated from. thanks in advance Alex

Almost forgot, look into mallet fast, which is hidden in the lightbox folder in zbrush. You can create rough gouges in rock surface that you can then go back over with the surface smoothing brushes I mentioned.
Endless thread gonna be, try both.. I personally feel more comfortable with zbrush, lotsa brushes. Mudbox is easy to use for texturing and pipeline integration.
I did do a little research on this. Having no luck reimporting a obj file exported from zbrush, into max, and then back at the lowest sub d. Read about Guruwave obj export/import, but the model still wont import. Morphix only seems to apply for two models in a scene already, so that wont work. Is there something Im missing…
The place I work has Macs, not my choice, nothing I can do about it. That said, the [ ] keys don't adjust the brush size, and I'm hoping someone knows the mac shortcut for it? Thanks! I checked for it on google and only found the PC shortcuts.
