Floki bust
done with this bust study. I wanted to putsch myself a bit and do one of my favorite characters from a show called Vikins. I still need lots of practice to get the likeness. Feedback is always welcome :) -
Just started learning UDK... it's really cool!
so, i just started learning UDK! it's really cool but figuring out what everything does is a little daunting at times. anyway, here is something i made in about 4 days. Just started Max. First environment
I've been using Max7 for about 3weeks now. I'm currently taking an intro modeling class at AI Washington, but all we're doing is lighting boxes, spheres, etc. I couldn't wait so I started playing around with shapes, lights, stretching and pulling verts, playing with textures in the program and here's what I came up with.… -
Do Meshes need to be Merged or just Combined?
Note - Possibly Maya specific terminology. Hey guys, been scratching my head for a while trying to figure out if I need to merge or combine before exporting a model to an engine. I have been modeling a car, and I'm unsure if I should make it all the same mesh with merged vertices, or just the same mesh through combining.… -

i generally make a highpoly first.. its a pain in ass to make a lo first and its just a horrible workflow.. you can make a model that is low in polies for zbrushing.. just use all quads.. zbrush hates triangles.. even though there is a convert tris to quad button in zbrush i just never used it.. so i dont know how that… -
To you, whats the best, or most common animated format?
There are many different formats that we all use, some in house, some compiled. But what is your most used, easiest format, that you use for animation? The only requirements are that it has to be skeletal. I'm interested to see what the "go to" format most people talk about is. There's no wrong answer, merely thoughts from… -
Ganondorf Bust

Linux next to Windows just in case

Ah, just read Ghosts post and he stated money went to opened item... --- But yeah, Valve determines rare item status, and that is to get people to keep buying crates. Like Unusuals in TF2 (which are random hat/effect). I don't see how it would be more fair to give them more in that regard. That's just Valve's preference on… -

I like where your stuff is going Jessy, I've been watching this thread from time to time and I must say there's good things happening. Just a few things, wooden fireplace, I dunno, it just doesn't do it for me, wood is just so out of place, seems unlogical to have. Changing it to stone, bricks or marble or what have you…
