Some feedback / thoughts: * Generally speaking don't render with a black background; aim for a dark grey like Polycount's background colour. * The DDO texture presentation isn't that practical if you want people to critique your textures / uving * I would avoid using the detail presets in legacy dDo. They can be helpful…
I'm currently working on an AK-47 from Finland, I've modelled it and exported it to NDO, there I made my Normal adjustments and everything went fine. Then I import my model in DDO, place in my Color ID map + the normals I just made in NDO. Everything seems to be loading just fine, but when I hold 'C' to use my Color ID's…
I have been not very interested in Photoshop for a while and now see it got a mesh deform of a sort where you can add vertical or horizontal loops . Once you add a loop it makes its vertexes selected with a small thin frame. Is there any oprtion to not only move/translate those selected vertexes but also rotate those…
By "Quixel" could you define what you're referring to? Is the issue within NDO or DDO? What project resolution are you working at? How many textures do you have loaded as PSDs - did you add more than the four default ones, if you're having trouble with DDO?
InteractionOps or iOps It is a set of operators which boost Blender interactivity between user and application by using only five functional buttons. Download: * Click on green button and get iOps with Git. * Or download and install zip file from releases branch: iOps 1.5 MESH: Edit Mode: * Switch between Vertex/Edge/Face…
So I'm learning SD currently and I'm finding it odd that the blend node only has two inputs. I'm thinking there has to be a more efficient node to this with. Why not just be able to "+" to add more inputs and select the blending mode for that input. Heck even if you can only select one mode for the whole node. Am I missing…
Hey Polycounters.. I've been going over this issue in my head for days now and I think posting about it on here will do me a lot of good. I graduated from a 3D Masters course over a year ago now, since then I have spent a lot of time trying different things, some might say too much time. I recently started to realise that…
Hey Polycount, nice community you've got here :) I hope I've posted this in the right place... I've started taking my first steps into the world of Quixel and PBR texturing and I'm loving the suite so far. I'm making an interior sci-fi environment with a modular based approach to the wall assets. Having now finished…
Double trouble! I've found summer sales for Marvelous Designer which is normally $500 for perpetual license. It is now ~$250 on steam sale for slightly less perpetual... perpetual license. In that you get to keep the software but you don't receive major updates. There is also a sale on Substance Painter and Designer. I've…
