Are you using the Sculptris plug in as well? That just got added, and may prove to be a boon for whatever you're doing. Also, keep on top of looking at your references. They will help guide and clarifyy what you need to hit for anatomy and proportions on the dragon head.
Hey guys thanks a lot for the input it's really helpful. I'm diving deeper into anatomy and focusing on sculpting right now. I'm also trying out other softwares in addition to blender. I've noted the weaknesses in my work and I'll get better! ;)
@kanga Thank you very much for your reply! I'm going to brush up body. Daz3D looks perfect for me to understand anatomy. Will keep it in mind that not to set too high res on early stage. Thanks again for your helpful advice!
to brian, Think like huge; barrel-chested hero like Superman, Kronk, Buzz lightyear, etc. but in the face. to peter, any help you can offer would be amazing. my anatomy sucks right now. sometimes it clicks and sometimes it doesn't.
Great job on the anatomy, it's clear you really studied the figure on this. The only area that stands out to me that may be incorrect is the abs. The abs seem a bit too flat and large. The flatness might be purely a lighting issue though. Overall, this looks GREAT!
Hi! Awesome entrance, composition is very strong and dynamic! About variation: i think the B is the best (i also think that in a and c dynamics anatomy looks stronger), because of pure silhouettes that easy to read under the mass of vfx) Good Luck!
Did redo most of the dragon today with more Zspheres. Feels much better today. But i still fell like the anatomy is still a bit off.. Want him to have a bit more of a slim appearance. Critique is more than welcome, Cheers!
good update, I feel you could push the hip area a bit more, verall looks super skinny, but the anatomy itself is reading like normal or almost chubby at places. I think somehing like this could really benefit the design.
Hello LukasG, I would recommend researching some Anatomy and doing form studies..What I find to be best for pure learning is to keep things within gray-scales to improve hues and saturation of colors to create more depth in your paintings.
On both of these I'm having some trouble with the pelvic area. Seems to be very boxy and robotic. see, totally cartoony, but it has posture and a sense of anatomy. Mostly I htink if you brother the thighs together near the crotch it would look a lot better.
