I’m a designer at a prop fabrication shop here in Burbank, and I’m reaching out to this community specifically because we’re looking for a very particular kind of unicorn. We’ve posted on the usual IATSE union boards and haven't found the right fit yet. The reason I’m posting here is that we don't just need a 3D modeler;…
@fallenskyzero cool! okay yea so you did a full pipeline migration in the end to make it work. I've been using Godot more too and it's really just gotten to a point where it's actually useable, there's a lot of nice features in it that you can tell they came up with because of gripes with other engines, etc. Blender is the…
Thank you. Max does seem to always have an answer to things. I'm going to think of it as the intermediate edges cause the edges to flow around the object and sucks them in, to suck them out, got to crease those suck edges. But are you saying this only applies with boundry edges? With an offset extrude, the edges seem to…
Hi, does anyone else have great difficulty when adding edge loops to tighten up geometry then when they smooth preview find they're constantly getting creases? I'm modeling a minigun and I've got a few extrusions for detail along a couple of cylinders but when I try to add edge loops I'm getting these annoying creases all…

Hi! I recorded a short video showing how I have my Loop Slice tool set up. I have this same hotkey system for multiple tools, and it works great! Strangely, there are two lists of tools to select from (I'm not sure why the difference), but you'll want to select Loop Slice from the second set of tools. And why Shift + Q/W/E…
People on Youtube usually don't explain shit Back in my Maya learning days i never heard ANYONE mention an Ngon or to split up the Ngon into Quads they just did stuff and expected me to understand which eventually lead to my down fall since i started using the tool and never understood why my models triangulated horribly…
I did a simple looping animation, but when I go to post infinity > cycle, not all the cycles turn out smooth. I'm just not sure what is causing the occasional blip in the cycle. I've attached a screenshot because I'm not quite sure how to explain it.
This is a thing I started sketching a while ago, it's been a sort of go to project to open up and push some polygons around when I don't want to deal with my "main" projects. It's a redesign of Corporal Hart from timesplitters 2 in a more modern / realistic style. I don't really do a lot of sci fi so this is a fun change…
