Hello everyone! I would like to announce that we’ve finally completed our final year project film! I haven’t updated this thread in a while since we were fully focused on production and polishing for submission, but I wanted to share the final result along with some behind-the-scenes progress. Huge thanks to everyone…
Hi everyone, We’re looking for freelance 2D traditional animators to help with tie-down and cleanup work on an active game project currently in production. The work will be paid at a flat rate per frame. We’re looking for artists who are comfortable working in a traditional 2D animation pipeline and can match an…
A little study in verve mimicking graphite sketch style. Micro tut: Start verve, press STRG+F2 to double canvas size. Mostly brush #9, size (w) off opacity (e) on, bristles around 50 at the beginning and less towards end. Paint & erase.(erase = Paint+STRG) Fine tune with brush #9 plus size (w) on, and brush #2, few…
at that point, why not just mirror your uvs? :) smart objects are useful in places, and can get interesting if you use the same smart object in multiple files (change one thing in tons of files w/o opening or saving them). Cool idea though, but would probably recomend this only for setting up the basics on the face before…
I've been dying to do this concept for ages to focus on foliage. I want to keep the use of materials minimal. Right now I'm just using a tiling brick material for everything, minus the bronze brazier, but I'll probably make a trim texture to go w the brick. I threw some quite plants in for fill and I'm playing w how to do…

Every ten minutes the view changes. It is so awesome. I agree with Vassago, I wanted a house but this place had a 600sq.ft. deck,…
I think this is because sometimes when planar mapping, the W value gets shot off to a crazy amount which makes it unselectable because it's so "far away" (even though it looks fine in UV view). You might be able to fix it by re-mapping the offending polygon, or it might be worth trying to change your view from UV to VW or…
I’m a designer at a prop fabrication shop here in Burbank, and I’m reaching out to this community specifically because we’re looking for a very particular kind of unicorn. We’ve posted on the usual IATSE union boards and haven't found the right fit yet. The reason I’m posting here is that we don't just need a 3D modeler;…
