Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at making hair cards, and I would appreciate it if anyone with hair card experience could give me honest feedback. I thank everyone who helps me make this a real, industry-ready asset with their feedback. The hair currently has only 25k tris, so I will add resolution to some obvious…
I'm working on a personal project and I'm not sure how to proceed here. I'm not even sure if I'm doing this right. It just looks wrong to me. Is my edge flow correct or should I start over and take a different approach? I'm uncertain if this is going to work.
Hello! Facing a really terrible problem here, solution of which i cant find. The problem is, as its said in the title, is that 3ds max suddenly started to distort UVs along edges. This has not been occurring in 2016 version. Here is how I get this effect. I am texturing a wing for a helicopter…
Hi https://imgur.com/4AJtdYc As you can see the pattern (bubbles) is cut off by uv-island and does't move along the surface. Thanks PS Edge of the UV-island cuts off the pattern's black-thick-line As you can see the thick-line on the pattern is continuous.

I am currently modeling something and to do what I need it to do I have to take a group of faces and make and edge loop around the inside of all of them. I am not quite sure how to do it or if it can even be done. I am trying to stay away from the Multi-Cut tool for this just to make it easier to replicate on the other…
Hello everyone I am getting back into animation and have decided to make my own model and rig for it. I would like to see if anyone could critique my edge flow or any problems that may hurt me while i am rigging. I want to add more detail for a more realistic horse but i don't want to kick myself in the butt for messing up…
Hey forums! I'm tasked with re-modeling a character for a prototyping assignment we have at school. The first model had some errors when it came to rigging - the knees and elbows just werent deforming correctly. Are there any tricks out there that I should know about before tackling this again? I do understand the concepts…
Awww yeahhh! I still think Mirror's Edge is one of the prettiest games ever. I just love the way that game was designed. You really did it justice. *edit - Hah fixed, totally meant Mirror's Edge : )
Anyone knows an easy way to get the closest edge to a given position? i already know a way to do this for closest faces and closest vertices with the node closestPointOnMesh but this only returns faces and vertices.
