Thanks! Yeah it took me a long time, most effort just trying to figure out how to "work the paint". Looking at it now I think it is too blurry and needs more hard edges. But I got time to practice :). I'm loving artrage. And it has a fantastic demo - you can use full program with no time restriction. Just can't save or…
Of course. I have a masters degree in mathematics but I've worked as a software engineer in several different IT areas for 7 years now. What I am trying to do with this project is to make a general purpose graphics application. One application in which you can create and edit images, textures, videos, create animations,…
My current rate is $15/hr. Ideally I'd like to earn 50,000 - 55,000 USD/year. One character usually takes me 60-80 hours depending on level of complexity, and how independent I can be without consulting with a senior artist. Basically; I operate fastest if you trust me to work, and leave me alone like a bitcoin server…
Suggestion to maybe remove the fog from the middle and brighten it up to show what's actually there. the sides look pretty good, but the middle looks kind of like a foggy greyscale scene. That or increase the contrast. The middle looks best in this image…
Do you have reference for this project? There are a few things that stand out to me with this at the moment. 1) either your lighting is set up strangely, or your green channel your normals is inverted, since light is hitting all of the bricks from below. 2) The white paint material is blending in a very strange manner. It…
Ryzen 9 or Threadripper no questions! (Obviously, if all you do is 3D creation and seeking to make a living out of it) - Ryzen 9 has more cores and higher CPU frequency/clock speeds, and better single-core performance. (especially go with the Ryzen 5000 series) - And threadripper is even better when it comes to Its core…
Its a combination of two values. Intensity and Exposure. I go with a light intensity of 500 and do increase the exposure step by step until i get a soft light. Than i go back and play with intensity.
@Larry That was the goal and yet hopefully someone may find this helpful not only from my mistakes and choices but the discussions can give some solid insight. I'm fairly new and trying to get into the industry but I'm very hopeful. Always appreciate the advice as this stuff is a constant learning experience and I think…
I got reasonable - And by that I mean good enough to model round but not good enough to use - results using a realsense IR depth camera to scan various big stuff like rooms. Assuming you can still buy one (or the lidar equivalent) you could probably get it done for under £500 including software.
