Video modelling tutorial for Blender 3D (low poly terrain section). Vids are broken down into sections; vertex blending, exporting, UVWmapping etc. so you can grab the one you have most interest in.
So this is a gun concept I am working on, at the front of the gun where the planes are will be electricity (much like a starwars pod racer), and a projectile will shoot out of the mid component through the laser and onwards to it's prey. Feedback and crits before I UVWMap and Texture this?
OpenArena is that one free game that rips off another in the most legal way possible under the GNU GPL v2 Free Software license. It's been around for quite a while and has been quite stagnant as of late. Over the years it recieved contributions of artwork and maps, however the styles clash and is an overall inconsistent…
We are looking for talented and reliable modelers for our next project: Back To The Roots. I think, if anyone knows STALKER Shadow Of Chernobyl since 2002 when it was announced, then he feels something is missing from game. Well known that many maps were removed from final game, and our main project is to return them back,…
Hi guys, I've been trying to find a thread where someone put an example of optimization for a lowpoly tank for DS specs. He did with the tank UVWmap something like this: Changed this: To this: He flipped the maps outside the main map, my question is how I do this? I can't find that thread :/
Well i started to practicise skinning... here´s what i got so far: Credits for the mesh and UVwMap to Cholden. btw. cholden if you read this.. do you realesed the hawtful girl wich is unskinned in ur protofolio? I would like to skin it too ;P Advices are very welcome! slow progress:
well, for me personally, i would just group this as one big mesh, drop into zbrush, do AUVmapping, and start texturing/detailing, i can barely handle laying out flats for a single character, but i'm lazy...
He'd probably just unwrap them (planar, box unwrap, etc) and align the uv's to the texture. Assuming you're speaking on 3ds max, I tend to mix UWVMap and Unwrap UVW so that I can edit my UV layout directly and scale individual planes.
hmm yeah thanks, those will help allot! k, first im gonna uvwmap this guy, than add planes using those as refs.. Thnx allot.. 1 more thing.. how did u get those o.O I searched and searched but apperently not hard nuff :/
You're right. It is definitely a problem with the geo. I have the same weird lighting problem with a plain, unmapped lambert material. I'll mess with this some more after work today and post the files if the problem persists. I'll try that tonight. Thanks.
