Animation translation errors?

problem with keying animation with attribute holders
I created Dummy objects to hold attributes which controls the reloading of a double barrel shotgun that i rigged. but somehow the movement coulldnt be keyed.i was wondering if there is something i forgot to do. does anyone no about animation with attribute holders. -

Animation reference viewer tool
I wanted to ask if anyone knows of any free video tool that can be used to study reference footage for animation on a frame by frame basics and has the always on top feature like Irfanview or kuardo(great tool btw) which only works with images.
