Hi everyone, here's my first rough concept for the Sci-fi (70's-80s) CS:GO comp: Just a photoshop overlay at this point, inspired by chunky, retro cartoon mechanics, colourful characters, and tron-esque grid flavouring  The barrels and hand-guard areas are designed to look as if they're off an illustrated mech. The…
If your mesh is being 'destroyed' on import then there's something wrong with the model other then ngons. Zbrush has been able to handle ngons for a long time (at least 10-15 years now), so it's very unlikely that's the issue. Try exporting as OBJ from Blender, then importing that file back into blender, and see if…
Hi everybody, my name is Rico, I'm currently a game student at Gnomon school. This is my first game UE4 environment, I will be very appreciated if you can give me any feedback/critics on it, my goal is to put it to my portfolio, and I still have 6 months to polish it. The story of the environment is about how do the robot…
As I'm not sure where should I post my WIP for CS:GO skin contest I copied my original thread from other polycount subforum. I'd like to know if there's any problem with that since I don't want to be disqualified. I apologize for troubles. Original Thread (20 May) Thread for CS:GO skin contest. I wanted to create something…

Hi there, I recently finished modelling a texturing an asset for a small project i am working on and I would like to ask for some feedback so I can improve my process for the next part of the project. I am modelling the sign for a mid-century American diner scene. I tried to keep the geometry pretty simple but I had to add…
Subdivision sketch: non-locking accessory carabiner. Just a simple modeling exercise. None of the internal spring components need to be modeled. Consistent loop distribution to maintain surface quality. Basic boolean block out. All the geometry is generated by simple mesh shapes and non-destructive modifiers. Most of the…
Hi, For some context I do environment design (hobby) mainly, but I am starting to do more and more modelling instead of depending on others for models or purchased kits. I have been delving into making rocks both realistic ish (with brushes) and stylised with the base Blender brushes. I saw a Mark Kingsnorth retopo addon…
I write tools for a living and I have an opinion on non-programmers using robots to make tools. - just use the robot to build the thing. The result will be 100% ass from an engineering perspective but that's not the point - Robots are excellent at prototypes / proof of concepts. The ethical concerns around robots writing…
