Honestly I don't think that Daz 3D model is a good anatomical reference, there is a lot of stuff that is unnatural/ out of place. I would recommend grabbing a scan from 3d scan store as reference. They are like 17$ but are going to be much more accurate in terms of anatomy. You can even use Split screen in Zbrush to…

I picked up a copy of it the other day at a used book store for under ten bucks.…
Hi all, I am doing mi first complete realistic character in ZBrush. My objective is to do it an avarage man, with something like a superhero body to show the muscles clearly. Im trying to do it anatomically correct as well as I can. Its my first realistic character. Just now im working in the head, the entire body is only…
Hey! Haven't been here in a while. I decided to pose my character I haven't found reference for this pose. I've tried multiple sites but apparently no one lifts a head that high. Can you masters of the universe help a poor soul out on anatomy. I'm to ashamed to ask the guys at the gym for pictures.
i think her stomach is way more flat than that in the reference, like... super flat, whereas yours has the classical approach that you see in a lot of sculptures. so while your sculpt is, for sure, anatomically correct. it's not correct to the reference. a fantastic example of how real people don't have "real anatomy" haha.
Hello everyone, I am not sure, but I haven't seen any anatomy challenge going on around, so I thought that making one for newbies would be a good idea. If you look around there is a lot of sketchbooks where people post their anatomy progress and also, people tend to get a lot of feedback about anatomy in their character…

Hi Nitewalkr, This looks like a nice start. However, if you wish to practice anatomy, I'd recommend really working on the rough structure of the body and muscular masses: clearly separating the muscle groups, bony landmarks... because right now, I feel like you are doing simply a clean portrait. The hair really aren't…
Latest Sculpt: So I've wanted to start a thread like this for a while now. I'm learning anatomy. *GASP* In this thread, I hope that over time, I will show progress of my knowledge of anatomy. To get to my goal, however, I must go through "the suck" where my heads look a bit like potatoes, and my anatomy poses look like a 3…
Hi there! I was wondering if anyone could help me in picking some anatomy courses to take. To preface, I have an intermediate understanding of anatomy, I've done some self learning from Glen Vilppu's figure drawing course on NMA, and I also attend weekly life drawing classes. I would describe my understanding of anatomy as…
