Hey guys i am currently in the process of modeling a Mossberg 'something' shotgun. I called it 'something' coz im not sure what type it is, ie. whether its an m13 etc. Anyway im having a bit of trouble modeling the breech. I just cant seem to get my head around how to inset a rounded-rectangular hole into the mesh. Here is…
Decided to pick this up, I've been wanting to do it for a while now, just never got around to it. Its still rough and I've only inset about 1/2 the screws; I have yet to add thickness to the forward part of the stock. Decided to wait because of the differences from side to side. I modeled the bullet to scale so that I…
So Im trying to convert weapons from a game (steam workshop) to highpolys to edit them in zbrush. The problem is that the obj (which the dev provides) behaves very weird when I want to edit it. For instance the mesh has hard creases when I turbosmooth it, the cut tool is inaccurate and buggyy. When I tried to weld the…
Ok so I'm working on a game asset for class and part of the models base has a inset where a bolt/nail/screw is inserted and I'm having a hard time getting it to look how I think it should. Now this is my high poly to produce the Normal and I was also wondering if it wouldn't cause too much of a problem where I can just…
Posting my own work for a change. Y'all made me nervous with yer mind-blowin' art, but here goes! Concept here is a bolt-action rifle that's been chopped down into an SBR. Eventually I want to tear it up more, make it all Mad Max-y, but I'm starting out with just the base rifle. High poly: Some of the details are just…
@Ben Apuna Cheers, yes the stonework could have been improved with more time. I was considering insetting the leather on the chair but assumed this would make it harder to read at these kind of distances. @Xaltar Yep. @SHEPEIRO I'm presuming your either joking, or did not read the triangle limitation stated in the initial…
Not too shabby. There are some tiny differences here and there between what you have and the reference. Your bolts aren't placed in the same spots on the camera itself, and it looks like you just have spherical shapes. Maybe add the screw head inset on those. The square holes on the rear of the camera are a little bigger…
Completely rebuilt the upper--the original was poo supreme, and the rear half of the lower. Fixed some scale issues, though I still think the lower's body is a tad tall and the T raise seems a bit steep atm. Did the 14.5" variant barrel and gas block though I've yet to add the vent/exhaust ports to either vers. I started…
ok fixed it up , weigths at 972 tris now may cut out that back part on the hammer nao though or add the minor details . anyway, now its time for normal baking. and im starting to have probs xD i guess i can manage the bake process but i have no idea what would be the best way to do for example the greaves on the grip.…
Thats a pretty cool concept, and you have a great start. The horizontal oval shaped insets on your model look a little too lumpy compared to the ref. Maybe you just need to add a loop or 2 near the corners where it extrudes in to tighten it a tad. Also, on your handgrip, same thing. Its a little soft. A lot of your bevels…
