Hey guys i am currently in the process of modeling a Mossberg 'something' shotgun. I called it 'something' coz im not sure what type it is, ie. whether its an m13 etc.
Anyway im having a bit of trouble modeling the breech. I just cant seem to get my head around how to inset a rounded-rectangular hole into the mesh.

As you can see from the reference pic the model is meant to be for game purposes, so is low poly and is going to have a normal map applied. So i was wondering how to get a low poly rounded-retangular hole in the model, any ideas anyone?

As you can see below there are still 4 boxes which are ngongs and i have no idea how to eliminate this problem, i have tried so many different edgeloops and none seem to work. Any suggestions guys?
