Hello, this is my first real post here :) I am looking for some critique for my first serious attemt to sculpt a female head/face and i feel like something is really off and wrong, but i can not figure out what it is. Can anyone help me to figure it out? I started using a simple generic base mesh and used Cinema 4d to…
Update: I've modelled the fog lights and put together most of the UV for the car. Some additional improvements here and there like reducing the poly count of those little marker lights like Chadwick suggested and small improvements to the front bumper.
Aaaah, I'd love to play a decent space sim again. :) The trailer looks pretty slick, but I must say that I really don't like the models of the ships so far... they are lacking shape.
Hello there. The title of this thread aptly sums up my position! I'm posting this here for two reasons - one, self improvement. You folks really know what you're doing, and I hope I can get the right sort of pointers to make my "age" (read: level) look great inside the engine I'll be using - Cyan World's Plasma 2.…
No problem :D Yeah, you never want Maya to smooth your mesh normals out completely. Sure, most game models are all smooth normals ... but on the off chance you actually want a hard edge you will want that option off. I just make sure my mesh's normals are smoothed before I export. Tangents and Binormals are a Normal's…
The texture looks good to me but those wrinkles/folds on the inner side of the thigh are too many or too dense. If what I see on the outer side of the thighs are rectangle shaped hexagon poly's those should be converted to quads I think. And the wrists must be a little thinner, they look too thick especially when viewed…
Funny that you say this. The only console I've ever owned was a Wii and it has loads of titles that run at 60 fps, and low framerates are a big reason why I avoid most consoles. I'll probably never play any of your studio's more recent games until the PC has a PS3 emulator that works well because I just don't find a third…
Thanks for the tips! When I sculpt, should I be using perspective on or off? Most of this was done with perspective off, and I'm actually using image planes so everything matched up rather nicely, its just when I turned on perspective that he moved away from the ref a bit.
It's quite surprising really. You'd think with all this global warming that's lying around, all the little sperms would have trouble making it Btw, the phrase "quake generation" is the most upsetting thing I've heard in years. So much so I think I just puked up a pancreas.
