{Finished} 1996 Toyota Crown Comfort.

I started modelling this Toyota last month in order to practice making cars more. It's pretty close to completion but there are still a fare few things I need to do like the fog lights and the wipers. Currently the model is 45k Triangles but I suspect it will be closer to 47k when I am 100% complete. Would love some feedback so far!

    Nice work.

The small protrusions on the front of the hood (turn signals?) seem to have more curvature triangles than the rest of the surfaces, is there a reason for that? There's a fair amount of chunkiness elsewhere, by comparison.

How are you doing the texturing on the headlights & brakelights? A contractor I know complained about the difficulty of making nice-looking refractive headlights for real-time use, specifically that they couldn't get them to look good in AR for their client (since it was glaringly obvious whenever there was no parallax).

That is because I've modelled them to be functional like the rest of the lights. They look funny right now since the entire assembly is marked transparent due to some material overlap with the other lights on the car at the moment. I'll have that fixed once I manually make the alpha layer in Gimp.
As for the lights I made a texture to project onto the models and made two separate materials for the inside and outside of the light. The outside has no normal mapping and is made to be less rough and more smooth, while the inside has the normals and is noticeably more rough since it's not as polished and has faded with time. I got this method from Troublesome and his guide he posted.

Update: I've modelled the fog lights and put together most of the UV for the car. Some additional improvements here and there like reducing the poly count of those little marker lights like Chadwick suggested and small improvements to the front bumper.

I quite like the beams cast by the lights after adding the fog lights.

Pretty much finished at this point. Last thing I need to do is make a proper livery (probably going to make a Honjo Taxi), and then I have to make a nice scene to render it in that isn't a grey blob.

have a bump, i found it so fun cute and unexpected to see the side mirrors that close to the front.
