Hi! Hm, interesting that you checked in Max but normals are flipped in the fbx. A simple way to check, would be to re-import the exported fbx and check that everything looks as intended. Since its normals define in what direction a face is looking, I would say flipping faces and flipping normals describes the same outcome.…
Hello I had a scan, few milion polygons, i "converted" this (retopo etc.) into a lower poly version of 10 000 polygon and Diffuse, Displacement (32 bit EXR) and Normals maps (the "standard one" - purple-ish :-) ). I deleted the original scan. Now i "discovered" that i would like to have also even lower poly version of this…
This is a texture resolution issue. Try baking your texture at 2x or 4x and it will go away. This happens because you're not using any hard edges whatsoever, so you have quite extreme gradients in your normals to account for the smoothing of the lowpoly, when you get these small thin triangles, you run out of resolution in…

The recent discussion about the "icon click actions" has given me an idea that I would like to hear your opinions on: Wouldn't it be nice if it was possible to not only switch between "tree modes" (hierarchy, layer, etc), but also between layouts? So you might have a nodebutton for toggling lights which you don't want to…
Hey man, so doing stitching and packing lightmaps by hand sucks absolutely. In the future consider using 3rd-party automatic pack tools like IPackThat or UV Layout to get the job done. You are taking years off your life-span by doing it the hard way! >.< Here a short video showing one of these programs in action. It's UV…
This UV layout is a lot better. There are still quite a few things you could do to improve it, however they are all relatively minor. Look into how you're placing the smaller bits, as i think you can make that more efficiant, and scale up everything by a small %. Something to pay attention to specifically, where you have…
