We would need to see your wireframe in order to comment on your topology, but it looks good so far. Proportions seem correct and you don't have any visible shading errors. The likeness isn't 100% though, but I'm not sure how accurate you're aiming to be.
yeah 30k Polys is not really a game res amount. Normally its under 10k. I can see how the accessories add to the polycount but can you give us the poly counts of the Character and its weapons seperatly. Also a wireframe would be good as Dirk said.
I think the best step you could take right now is posting up some of your previous work, wireframes and texture maps. A lot of people start adding normal and specular maps when their modeling and basic texturing and UV skills need a lot of work.

Hey R I don't know if this what you are looking into already, but animation>preview should give you exactly that : a viewport capture taken from within Max. Only thing is that you might want to force in 'shaded mode' to avoid taking wireframe shots now and then..,
I assume you are aiming for that Tron Legacy look, but i just wanted to link to a few screens that are from the first movie that this design is based on. I got some wireframe shots so it should be easy to read the basic shape from these: good luck any way
It looks very impressive. Reminds me a lot of Metro 2033, right down to the brownish color palette. If you're going for "bleak apocalyptic future", I'd have to say you nailed it. If it's not too much work, I'd love to see some of your textures and wireframes. :D
Nice simple layout, good content I love it! The only crit I have is that the wireframe render-er you are using doesn't display ALL the edges, making things look more low poly than they really are. The next/previous buttons work for me /shrug
maybe have ur 3d work appear on the page template? u have 2d drawings on either side of the 'scroll'. why not add some of ur 3d work there? and yeah, those buttons were hard to read. nice idea about the roll-over wireframes by the way.
kk wireframe comin up ill also make an 8 heads in photoshop for proportion, other than the hands being large which was intentional i dont think its super far off, as for the armor, i get that crit alot, ill work on the weight and believeablility of that
